Workshop Booking - Terms and Conditions
All Deposits for workshop-based courses (including live online workshop courses) are non-returnable and non-transferable.
Booking Terms
For students that book 30 days or more before the start date of the workshop:
The balance of the workshop fee is payable directly to your teacher within 30 days of booking onto this workshop.
For students that book less than 30 days before the start date of the workshop:
When booking with less than 30 days before the start date of the workshop, the balance must be paid to your teacher no later than 7 days before the workshop starts.
For students that book 7 days or less before the start date of the workshop:
When booking 7 days or less before the start date of the workshop, the balance must be paid to your teacher no later than 48 hours before the workshop starts.
If there is a non-payment of balance, or agreement for the payment plan is not completed within the timelines stated above, this will result in forfeiture of Deposit money paid, and the student will lose their place at the workshop.
Note: You will receive an email from the teacher within 3 business days of the Deposit being paid, with Balance Payment details. Students will be reminded to please check their Junk and Spam folders if the email does not come into their main Inbox.
Cancellations
If a course is paid for in full, a refund (less the deposit and an administration fee) will be given for cancellations when requested at least 30 days before registration on the first day of the scheduled training.
If course is paid in full, a 50% refund (less the deposit and an administration fee) will be given for cancellations when requested 15 – 29 days before registration on the first day of the scheduled training.
No refunds will be given after this date or for no-shows on the days of the scheduled training.
If you cancel within 15 days of the start date of a workshop, or you do not show at a workshop without informing us, the full fee for the workshop is still due to be paid. You are required to pay any outstanding balance of the fees that are due.
Anyone who is registered but cannot attend may send a substitute. However, we need to be notified of this change before the training starts.
The Sound Healing Academy reserves the right to cancel or postpone the training due to unforeseen circumstances or if a minimum acceptable registration level is not achieved 15 days before the scheduled training.
If such an unlikely event occurs, your registration fee will be refunded in full.
However, the Sound Healing Academy is not responsible for any other program expenses (travel, accommodation etc.) you might have incurred.
Payment Plans for Certified Workshop Students
Payment Plan: Option 1
- 30% of course fee is paid as deposit directly to SHA.
- 70% is paid in one instalment directly to your teacher usually through Paypal or online bank transfer.
Payment Plan: Option 2
- 30% of course fee is paid as deposit directly to SHA.
- 70% is paid in 2 or 3 monthly instalments (i.e. over 2 or 3 months) directly to your teacher usually through Paypal or online bank transfer.
There will be an extra charge for each instalment to cover the extra admin etc involved. The amount charged is at the discretion of your teacher.
If a payment is skipped then the SHA reserves the right to suspend access to the online training portal for the course and not to provide any further tutor / teacher support.
Payment Plans for Workshop Only Students
Payment Plan: Option 1

Payment Plan: Option 2
- 30% of course fee is paid as deposit directly to SHA.
- 70% is paid in 2 or 3 monthly instalments (i.e. over 2 or 3 months) directly to your teacher usually through Paypal or online bank transfer. ALL payments must be made at least 48 hours BEFORE the workshop starts. There will be no admittance to the workshop unless full payment has been received.
There will be an extra charge for each instalment to cover the extra admin etc involved. The amount charged is at the discretion of your teacher.
Upgrades - Workshop Only Students
If you have taken the "Workshop only" option, and you wish to upgrade to the Full workshop course, then you have 4 weeks - for Level 1 courses - from the final day of the workshop to choose to upgrade from the workshop only to the full course.
For those on Level 2 courses, you have 8 weeks from the final day of the workshop to choose to upgrade from the workshop only to the full course.
This can be done with an upgrade email request via the Teacher or directly from the student to the Support. Acceptance of this upgrade request is at the discretion of SHA and not 100% guaranteed.
Payment Plans - Special Circumstances
For people with limited income and savings, a custom payment plan over a longer time frame may be agreed with a teacher. This agreement is at the discretion of the teacher and is not guaranteed, and does not apply to Workshop only students.
This payment plan will be set up before a workshop course starts and will last no longer than the duration of the course.
The standard duration of our courses is: 3 months for Level 1 and 12 months for Level 2 courses.
The student is required to set up a bank standing order for an agreed monthly amount to be paid directly to the bank account of the teacher.
There is an extra charge for each instalment under this agreement. The total cost of the special circumstances payment plan will be higher than under Options 1 and 2 above.

Qualifying and Insurance
L2 Diploma in Sound Healing – Agreement
- I understand and agree that the Sound Healing Academy will only endorse me as a Fully qualified Sound Healing Practitioner for 1:2:1 Clients once I have completed the WHOLE of the course and have received my Diploma in the post.
- I understand and agree that up until that time I am NOT to advertise, claim to be or charge clients as a Qualified Sound
Healer.1:2:1 or for Groups until such time as I have received my respective Diploma. - I understand and agree that the Level 2 Groups Diploma DOES NOT qualify me to work 1:2:1 with Clients in any way.
- I understand and agree the Level 2 1:2:1 Diploma DOES NOT qualify me to work with Groups or conduct Sound Baths in any way.
- I understand and agree that I MUST complete my Full Diploma Studies before claiming to be a qualified Sound Healing Practitioner.
- I understand and agree that I should not attempt to gain PLI Insurance as a Practitioner until such time as I am FULLY QUALIFIED with a Diploma. However, the Academy supports students to obtain ‘Student Insurance”.
- I understand and agree that it places me at great risk if I gain insurance under false pretences of being a ‘Qualified Sound Healer’. The Sound Healing Academy does not endorse any student who claims to be a fully-fledged Sound Healer after completing any of the following courses:
- Any Single Instrument Certified course or workshop Only.
- Any Level 1 Full Certified or ‘workshop Only’ Course
- Any Level 2 1:2:1 ‘workshop Only’
- Any Level 2 Groups ‘workshop Only’
Consequences for Breach: Violating this agreement may result in your course being revoked and losing access to any Level 2 courses
Course Content
1. Intellectual Property Rights
All course materials, including but not limited to videos, documents, lesson plans, and any other content provided during our Sound Healing courses, are the exclusive intellectual property of the Sound Healing Academy. By enrolling in our courses, students acknowledge that these materials are for personal educational purposes only. Students are strictly prohibited from reproducing, distributing, or using any of our materials for commercial purposes, including but not limited to establishing their own teaching school or conducting similar courses.
2. Non-Compete Clause
By participating in our Sound Healing courses or workshops, students agree not to use any teachings, methodologies, or proprietary information acquired during the course to set up or operate a competing business or teaching school. Any attempt to use our content for the development or operation of a similar course or program, either during or after completion of the course, will be considered a violation of these terms and may result in legal action.
3. Restricted Use of Course Content
Students and graduates are granted access to our course content strictly for their personal use and growth within the field of Sound Healing. The use of any course materials, videos, manuals, or other educational content for the purpose of creating, offering, or teaching a similar course, workshop, or training program, either online or offline, is strictly prohibited. Unauthorized use of our materials will result in immediate termination of access and may incur legal consequences.
4. Enforcement of Rights
We reserve the right to take legal action against any student who violates these terms by using our materials, teachings, or proprietary content to establish or promote their own teaching school or related business. This includes, but is not limited to, seeking injunctive relief, damages, and any other remedies available under the law.
