About Joanna

I'm Jo Powling

I have been a life long student of Rhythm and Sound. From a young age I became aware of the transformative power of rhythm and sound and became fascinated with the way rhythm and sound has been used to heal & empower groups and individuals across cultures and throughout history. This led me to study Music, Percussion, Social Anthropology and Ethnomusicology .

I have also spent many years studying and practicing Yoga and Meditation .

I was naturally drawn to work in the area of Sound Healing and have completed a diploma in Integral Sound Healing through the Sound Healing Academy.

The one thing that has become clear to me through my studies, my travels and my love of sound is that all experience is vibration in presence. NADA BRAMA - ALL is sound ALL is vibration.

My work is to use sound to take people into a place which will remind them of this simple but fundamental truth .

As well as offering Sound Immersions for groups I regularly work facilitating group drumming circles through InRhythm Drumming.

I am based on the beautiful Central Coast in N.S.W and love living surrounded by the bush and close to the ocean.

I believe that Harmony is the goal of the universe!
